Its purpose is to provide information on the health concerns of wireless technology and in particular, mobile masts. This concern started with the opening of the mobile phone market to new operators, creating the requirement for many more mobile masts to be put up around our Island. This website provides links where you can find further details, including research and other concern groups. Following Dr George Carlo's visit to Jersey in February 2007, we will be working with Dr Carlo to set up a SAFE WIRELESS initiative in Jersey. This will enable members of the public to undertake a test which will help them understand if they are electro sensitive and also support local doctors who are willing to learn more about this subject. More information to follow. Dr. George L. Carlo is a world recognized medical scientist, author and lawyer, presently the Chairman of the non-profit Science and Public Policy Institute in Washington, D.C. His career spans thirty years and more than 150 medical, scientific and public policy publications in the areas of public health, workplace safety and consumer protection. A petition was signed by over 1,000 members of the public and handed to our local Planning Department on 3rd January 2007. The States of Jersey are looking at the health concerns through their scrutiny process. We are asking whilst there are still serious concerns over the health implications of mobile masts, that the States of Jersey proceed with a precautionary approach to putting up further masts. From our learning of this subject we also ask that the whole issue of levels of airborne radiation in the Island be seriously reviewed. Levels of airborne radiation are increased but the use of wifi technology. This can include wifi networks in homes, workplaces and schools, cordless phones and any other item which relies on wireless technology to operate. The explosion of wireless technology has brought with it a totally new form of dangerous radiation called electropollution. Humanity is now exposed to more than 100 million times more radiation than just two decades ago. The 100 trillion cells of the body communicate with each other by subtle low electromagnetic signals as well as through chemical reactions. Continuous exposure to electromagnetic radiation can drastically distort and disrupt these cellular communications pathways, resulting in abnormal cellular metabolism and eventually disease. Electropollution profoundly compromises the normal intercellular communication of the body. Cell function deteriorates, cell membranes harden, causing a shutdown of the cells. Now nutrients cannot get in and toxins cannot get out. Over time this leads to toxin and free radical buildup, genetic mutation, premature aging, illness and disease. In particular, the amount of natural microwave radiation from the Sun is quite negligible in comparison to the level of microwave emission from an active Base-station, whilst, in addition, and in contrast to that from the Sun, Base-station radiation is highly coherent; this means that the frequencies characterising the telecom signals are extremely precisely defined - a feature that greatly facilitates their discernment by the alive body.
